We believe in God the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, the triune Maker of the universe. We want to respond to God’s amazing grace towards us humans – throughout history and ultimately in Jesus – with worship, love and obedience. We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired and authoritative word that needs to be studied and obeyed to the best of our ability, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and in cooperation with fellow believers. We believe that God wants for all humans to receive salvation, to become his children and – as children – to live willing, obedient and fruitful lives by his principles. We believe that God’s counsel is life, health and development for all humans and all nations.

অস্বীকৃতি

এই অধ্যয়ন মূলত মোশির পঞ্চপুস্তকের (তওরাত) উপর ভিত্তি করে, যা নাকি তিনটি ধর্মের পবিত্র গ্রন্থ। এই পঞ্চপুস্তকে আছে ইতিহাস ও আইন-কানুন যা প্রায় ১৪০০ খ্রী: পূর্বে প্রাচীন ইস্রায়েল জাতিকে দেওয়া হয়েছিল। ঈশ্বর চেয়েছিলেন এই প্রাচীন ইস্রায়েল জাতি হবে একটি মডেল, একটি আদর্শ জাতি যা সবাইকে দেখাবে তিনি তাঁর সর্বোচ্চ কি করতে চান। এই আদর্শ জাতি হওয়া শুধুমাত্র একটি জাতির জন্য নয়, এটা সব জাতির জন্যই ঈশ্বরের পরিকল্পনা (যিশাইয় ১৯:১৯-২৫ ও দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ৪:৫-৮ দেখুন)। প্রাচীন ইস্রায়েল জাতি আদর্শ হওয়ার যে ভূমিকা তা খুব ভালভাবে পূর্ণ করেনি।

যখন আমরা প্রাচীন ইস্রায়েল বা ইস্রায়েল শব্দটি ব্যবহার করছি তা দ্বারা কখনই আধুনিক বা বর্তমান ইস্রায়েলের কথা বোঝাচ্ছি না। কিন্তু আমরা বলছি যে ঈশ্বরের বাক্য অপরিবর্তনীয়; এটা যেকোনো শতাব্দীর যেকোনো জাতির জন্য মঙ্গলময়, জীবন ও প্রজ্ঞা।
